GOAL: NINE aims to create interactivity with target consumers and create a quick and effective channel of communication to them.
SOLUTION: Customers see promotional point of sale (posters and newspaper advertisements) with an instant Call to Action (text NINE to 88833 for 15% off). When the customer texts the short-code they instantly get a SMS Voucher entitling them to 15% off their next purchase, when they show a member of staff the text. All the customers that have text NINE are, ‘Opting In’ to the NINE Mobile Database which is being created with only customers interested in the Brand for future updates. A major benefit of this type of promotion is that customers can send the text promotion to friends and family (viral).
RESULTS: NINE have seen new customers coming into the store taking up the offer. NINE use Text Cast to send the mobile database news of new deliveries, offers and VIP invites to events. Customers can ‘Opt out’ at anytime of which none have.
